Kathryn Myers has served as the Director of Education for the Victoria Symphony since 2021, and has been a part of the education community since 2014. With a background in music education, she is uniquely qualified to work with community educators in programming outreach events. She is dedicated to our students and community members, and is passionate about encouraging exploration and discovery in the world of orchestra and music. Every person deserves to experience the joy of music, and she is grateful for the opportunity to help advance that mission. Kathryn is a percussionist and holds a bachelor’s degree in music education from Sam Houston State University, as well as a teaching certification in EC-12 (Early Childhood - 12th Grade) Music. Prior to joining the symphony team, she served as a music teacher and band director, most recently for Industrial ISD and Calhoun County ISD.
